In a grand event held in Lagos, the former Managing Director/CEO of Wema Bank Plc, Mr. Ademola Adebise, introduced his memoir to an illustrious audience, encompassing prominent leaders, esteemed entrepreneurs, and distinguished bankers. The occasion not only marked the launch of his memoir but also served as a tribute to Adebise’s exemplary leadership, managerial prowess, and remarkable contributions during his 33-year tenure in the banking industry.

Titled “The Transformational Leader: The Journey of a Tech Bro Turned Bank CEO,” Adebise’s memoir unveils his personal and professional odyssey, from his early days as an Information Technology expert to his ascent as a consummate banker.

Chronicling his evolution within the banking sector, the memoir traces his path to becoming the MD/CEO of Wema Bank in 2018. It sheds light on his innovative approach and groundbreaking fintech initiatives, notably the introduction of ALAT, Nigeria’s pioneering digital bank. This groundbreaking move positioned Wema Bank as a technology-driven institution, pioneering solutions and reshaping the banking landscape.

At the launch, esteemed figures such as Chief Michael Ade Ojo, Chairman of Elizade Motors, commended Adebise for his integrity, professionalism, and commitment to delivering value to both customers and shareholders. The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, praised Adebise’s leadership and vision, emphasizing his role in fostering growth through strategic partnerships.

Notable dignitaries, including Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and Governor Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos State, conveyed their appreciation for Adebise’s achievements and lauded his dedication to excellence and innovation.
